After a customer was having issues with her bike, she headed to Boulder to have a professional take a look. She knew it was a quick adjustment so headed to a bike shop hoping to be squeezed in, but was rudely told that they had a full schedule so she went to Bicycle Village to see if they had any time.
Expecting to be told the same thing, she was pleasantly surprised when Curtis not only fit it in but did it happily and didn't even appear inconvenienced. He took the bike back right away, made the adjustments, explained what was wrong to make it easier for her in the future and had it fixed and shifting better than it had before in about eight minutes…and free of charge.
Curtis had no idea that this customer actually races for a pro team and that losing one day of training would have been a huge problem for her. The customer was so blown away that she promised to continue to do business there because of “The very best service in the industry.”
